Incredible and amazing experience and work done by the owner herself Ms Lesline Powe Barton! Beyond just having the skills to do hair the right way, you feel the compassionate care that is provided for each client. I have been returning customer in different locations of her hair salon. In Altamont Springs and Metro West. You definitely need to go for the shampoo experience here because it is out of this world! The Staff are all professional and courteous, and there’s just such a special anointing in both salons that you feel. What sets “Hair in Motion” apart from other salons, is part of the heart of their operations, which is raising young experts in the industry of hair and beauty, by providing their own in-house education academia. So not only do they have a business output, They also have found a way to sustain the community by educating the future hairdressers and graduating them, which allows for their own economic and career successes. Getting our hair done is supposed to be therapeutic and for us, women, an escape from the many hats we wear, where our crown of glory is then pampered, and we leave the salon looking like the Queen that GOD has made us to be. Updated Review: I scheduled an appointment a week after my hair was done to get my eyebrows done. Eye brows aren't done here. There was no set up for it. It was a chaotic appointment, where I was told to come back after I was called to return to get my eyebrows done but I never received a call back. I removed a star from my rating because of this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today was our first time at this Salon. We literally looked for a black owned hair salon that serviced children. This was the first result so we called to make an appointment. We were able to get scheduled with hair stylist Tinee the same day. Tinee is the most warmest, bubbly and knowledgeable hairstylist that services children! Not to mention the salon looked so glamorous! It was like we were walking into a fairy tale and this is where princess and queens come to be transformed for the royal ball! They have tables in the front of the salon for eating or waiting. The owner truly out did herself with how she decorated, all the services she provided customers and the classes she teaches students at her hair academy. Every staff member in this business is very welcoming. We spent the whole day here due to other customers getting seen while we waited to get our hair finished! Our appointment were at 12:30 and 1:30 pm but we weren't finished until after closing close to 9:00 pm. Thank you so much for the beautiful style for my daughter( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, braids with beads) and my hair ( wash, deep condition, trim, blowout, silk press, curls).

I took my daughter to this salon to get her extremely thick natural hair washed, conditioned, trimmed, and flat ironed. Let me begin by first stating that this salon does not disappoint 🙌! My son and I waited in the "lobby/waiting" area while my daughter was getting her hair done and the atmosphere was pleasant and poppin! The music was errrthang and the receptionist, Ms. Linda, is AMAZING! I really wish I could clone her and hire her clone to be my Executive Assistant. My daughter's new haircare professional, Ms. Sparkle, wears her beautiful natural hair and was very familiar with how to properly care for my daughters hair. My daughter loves Ms. Sparkle and is looking forward to getting her hair done bi-weekly again!!! I also noticed that the other stylists are Baddies at their crafts too. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAIR IN MOTION of NY SALON "HIMONY SALON"...they'll get your haircare done right!
